Every family needs a black sheep and Jabez Rainbow, runaway apprentice, soldier and attempted murderer certainly qualifies to fulfil that role in 1842.
Join us for an afternoon of Folk-Noir and Electric cyber-folk in ‘The Boot’ pub, St Albans to hear the terrible tale of Jane Pearce, who was the victim of a dreadful crime in 1842, upstairs in the pub.
Listen to songs written about historic trials and sentences which happened in St Albans Town Hall courtroom (now a courtroom cafe in St Albans Museum + Gallery) and performed by local band Vik and Kat Evans.
This event is part of our Catching the Chain exhibition and in collaboration with St Albans Arts Team.
