Ahead of the 2023 Ryder Cup in Italy St Albans Museums and St Albans Tour Guides will be celebrating its founder Samuel Ryder at St Albans Museum + Gallery in the Assembly Room where Ryder presided over Council meetings as mayor.
Known worldwide as the man behind the Ryder Cup,Samuel Ryder was one of St Albans most prominent residents during his life and he left his mark on the city. He changed the face of gardening nationally with his penny packets of seeds and as councillor and mayor he contributed to all aspects of life in St Albans.
Please check the museum website for dates and times, the Assembly Room is still used for events and so the exhibition will not be accessible at all times.
On the dates below the Assembly Room is closed for private events, set up and takedown and the exhibition will not be available
