Our expert caterers are here to listen and advise, to ensure that you and your guests enjoy to the full whatever menu you choose, with wines to match at your request.

Our central location in this charming, historic city with excellent hotels, parking and travel links, will make access easy for your guests, and of course for yourselves.

Assembly Room:

If you are looking for traditional elegance, then The Assembly Room provides the perfect setting for your ceremony and reception. Featuring glorious chandeliers, lustrous gold-leaf detailing and a grand balcony overlooking the historic city centre, this ballroom can accommodate celebrations for a large number of guests, including a sit-down wedding breakfast for up to 100 people (theatre or reception up to 120 people).

Capacity:

Theatre style or Reception: 120

Seated meal: 100

  • Minimum booking of 2 hours £1,250
  • Additional hours (until midnight) £300
  • Additional hours (midnight to 1am) £500

Events must allow for an additional 1-hour set-up / take-down either side of the booking:

  • Before midnight £300
  • After midnight £500

After 5pm an additional security fee will be applicable for all bookings.

Prices exclude VAT.

Courtroom

The Courtroom is an intimate space, perfect for smaller ceremonies. Wedding guests can look on as you exchange your vows - even, if you choose - in the
dock – a truly unforgettable experience!

The Courtroom can accommodate up to 70 guests for a champagne reception, or 60 guests for a seated wedding
breakfast.

Daytime hire (8am-5pm):

  • Minimum booking of 2 hours from £400
  • Additional hours (per hour until 5pm) from £100

Evening hire (after 5pm):

  • Minimum booking of 2 hours from £700
  • Additional hours (per hour before midnight) from £250
  • Additional hours (midnight to 1am) from £500

Events must allow for an additional 1-hour set-up / take-down either side of the booking:

  • Before midnight £250
  • After midnight £500

Prices exclude VAT.

After 5pm, an additional security fee will be applicable for all bookings.
