Do you like meeting new people? Love local history? Enjoy researching or sharing stories?
If so, you could become part of our amazing team of volunteers.
Volunteering at St Albans Museums is a great way to develop your skills, while supporting us to enhance the experience of our visitors.
Regular volunteering: schools workshop support, collection cataloguing and documentation
These require a level of regular commitment, set time slots.
Irregular volunteering: family craft activities, exhibition installation, visitor surveys
No regular commitment, set time slots.
Flexible volunteering: research, costume repair, transcribing oral history recordings
No set time slots or commitment, volunteer from home / remotely.
Some opportunities are recruited for regularly (family craft activities, collecting visitor surveys), but others (collections, exhibitions) are recruited for occasionally or only once.
Read about some past projects directly from our volunteers in the profiles below via each image.
