This year we are delighted to be hosting local artist Donna Borg at St Albans Museum + Gallery as part of Herts Open Studios.
Over the weekend of the 14th and 15th September you will be able to meet Donna, view her work on display, watch her paint and ask her questions about her process. The event is free of charge and there will be many original works available for purchase, including some of her most recent landscapes of St Albans and limited edition prints.
Donna’s subjects range from portraits, figures, landscapes and still life, to more experimental work. She can often be seen in the City; painting local scenes and sharing her knowledge and love for painting with passers-by. Throughout August you might even spot her outside St Albans Museum + Gallery, painting our historic building!
Some of Donna’s recent collective exhibitions include the ‘New English Art Club Annual Exhibition’ and ‘Figurative Art Now’ at the Mall Galleries London. In St Albans, Donna has had two solo exhibitions at the Abbey Theatre and her works have been on display in various local businesses including Sofas & Stuff and Ollie Quinn. Donna has also appeared in Sky Arts’ ‘Landscape Artist of the Year’.
