Passion, Determination, Vision uses contemporary textile art to celebrate individuals who have made a real impact in St Albans, the wider eastern region and beyond. The exhibition has been created by the members of the Eastern Regional Textile Forum.
The textile works are not portraits in the traditional sense, instead they show the impacts and consequences of these diverse individuals’ lives – across time, place, space and occupation – from each artist’s unique and creative perspective.
Look out for textile portraits representing the works and impact of locals including Saint Alban, Stephen Hawking, Francis Bacon, Ebenezer Howard, Louis Wain, George Bernard Shaw, Kathleen Kenyon, Michael Morpurgo, Peggy Hodges, Pauline Gower, Lady Constance Lytton, Tim Rice and many more.
