FREE 40 minute session for up to 15 children from pre-school and reception classes.
This workshop is aimed at preschool and primary school age children in order for them to celebrate and learn about black history month in a fun filled way.
It will focus on the story of Ruby Bridges, who was the first black student to attend an all white public school in the southern United States.
They will be able to learn about how Ruby’s journey started and how she transformed in to a civil rights leader at a very young age and will be able to carry out a activity that allows them to explore their imagination in a creative way.
Not only will they explore a part of black history but they will learn about a story that reflects on bravery and breaking down barriers.
