Our October story is Extra Yarn by Mac Barnett illustrated by Jon Klassen. Once again fitting in with our current exhibition of textile art, this month we will be getting creative with wool as we decorate our own initial letters.

On a cold day in a grey town, little Annabelle discovers a box of brightly coloured yarn. She starts to knit and keeps on knitting, filling the whole town with colour, but there is always extra yarn!

For our younger visitors Museum Minis at St Albans Museum + Gallery takes place on the second Friday of each month.

These fun sessions for our youngest museum visitors and their grown-ups include a story and craft activity as well as a museum treasure hunt linked to the story.

Suitable for children aged 2-4 accompanied by an adult

£6.50 per child, please book in advance
