In this exhibition, Jewish community members with roots from around the world welcome visitors into their lives, telling some of their stories through personal objects and family photographs.

Connect with the individual experiences of Jewish people in Britain and see how they became part of the vibrant city of St Albans. Their fascinating stories bring to life the universal themes of sanctuary, courage, compassion, work and community. Explore the timeline of Jewish life in St Albans and England and take a virtual stroll around St Albans to see where the Jewish community settled.  See how its members have contributed to the wider community and listen to their stories.

Alongside the exhibition, some of the people who contributed their objects and stories to the exhibition will be giving talks in the gallery throughout the exhibition run.
