Join curator Sarah Keeling as she traces the story of local people convicted in our courtroom and sentenced to transportation to Tasmania as punishment. For the first time, we bring together information from our court records with stories from the Digital History Tasmania archive to give us a full picture of life before, during and after conviction.

This talk is given as part of our exhibition "Catching the Chain". In-person ticket holders will be able to explore the exhibition from 6:30pm.

Special Offer: Mix and match 4 in-person tickets across our entire talks programme and get the 5th on free. (This is not a loyalty programme - all tickets must be purchased in one transaction.)

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the nature of our historic buildings the acoustics can sometimes be challenging. Whilst we are constantly working to improve this, we recommend joining us online if you want to be sure of crisp, clear audio.
