This workshop tracks the history of St Albans from Medieval to modern times. 1000 years of history, condensed into an hour - a whistle stop tour perfect for "My Local Area" history topics.

We will discover who lived here and what were their lives like,  alongside national themes and their changes through time to help students with chronology, context, similarity and difference, continuity and change.

We will track who the monarch was; how we communicated; and how we travelled. In each time period we will then “meet” (via pupil dressing up) different key individuals or groups from each period, learn a bit about them, and then hop back into our time machines and jump again in time!

Key Stage 2 | 1 hour session | £100 | Up to 32 children

We suggest you combine your visit with time in the museum galleries with our Self Guided Visit.
