There are many different ways to look at a museum object and this exhibition explored the design ideas and heritage context behind some of the toys and games in St Albans Museums’ collection.
Students from the Design and Crafts programme at the University of Hertfordshire worked together with museum staff and volunteers to look closely at these toys and discover how they might be designed today in our complex and difficult world. The displays in this exhibition were curated by the students.
This exhibition was part of The Us in Museum, a wider project looking at how craft and design students can use museum and archive collections.
