Kubrick: A Film Makers Odyssey

An exhibition at the Museum of St Albans

Open Mon – Sat 10.00am – 5.00pm. Sun 2.00pm – 5.00pm.

With support from the Kubrick family and Kubrick Archive. The Museum of St Albans and University of Hertfordshire have teamed up to offer you a summer of film with exhibition, talks, activities and screenings in St Albans and Hatfield. This exciting new exhibition uses material from the Kubrick Archive to look at how Stanley Kubrick worked and the different processes involved in film making

Half term Holiday Activities at the Museum of St Albans

Varied and creative activities on the theme “Fantastic Films”

The Tuesday session is for 6-13 year olds. All other sessions are for 8-13 year olds.

Meet Boudicca, Queen of the Iceni Tribe at Verulamium Museum

Come along and meet this amazing queen in the Museum galleries. Story telling sessions by Boudicca at 2.30pm and 3.30 pm.

Reminiscence Coffee Morning: A Night on the Tiles

Museum of St Albans

Relax with a cup of tea or coffee and enjoy looking at photographs and objects from the 1930s, ‘40s, ‘50s and ‘60s, and 70s, which are sure to bring back lots of memories. Have fun reminiscing at these themed coffee mornings and feel free to bring your own pictures to share.

This event, and admission to the museum, are FREE but as numbers are limited it is advisable to book your place in person at the Museum of St Albans on Hatfield Road or by telephone: (01727) 819340

Stanley Kubrick Science Fiction Film and Model Making Workshop

Saturday 26th June

1pm – 4pm

Museum of St Albans

This exciting workshop will be led by Darren Elliot-Smith from the University of Hertfordshire Film Education Department and has been inspired by Stanley Kubrick's iconic film, "2001: A Space Odyssey." Participants will be able to make models and sets based on the movie and then film their own creations up close.

Suitable for children aged 11 – 16 years

Sunday Stories: Football Fever

Sunday 27th June

3pm – 4pm

Museum of St Albans

We can't offer a cure for football fever, but invite you to come and listen to stories and then practise your ball skills.

Suitable for children under 7.

In association with St Albans Children’s Book Group.

Cost £1.00 (Free to members of St Albans Children’s Book Group on production of a membership card)

All children must be accompanied by and adult.
